1. About SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub

SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by SPEKTRUM HOME LEARNING HUB LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17263311), with directors based in Northern Ireland, UK. The app is a home learning planning tool designed to help parents and guardians of home-educated children plan learning activities, generate AI-assisted lesson ideas and track educational progress. The app supports families whose children are home educated for any reason, including neurodiversity, anxiety, school refusal, mental health challenges, medical conditions or personal choice. The app is operated as a private limited company business based in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.

2. Not a substitute for professional advice

The app does not provide:

• Certified educational, SEN or mental health assessments
• Medical, psychological or psychiatric advice or diagnosis
• Therapeutic, counselling or clinical support or intervention
• Legally recognised educational qualifications or certifications
• Crisis support or emergency mental health services

AI-generated lessons are suggestions only. They are created by an AI model and have not been reviewed, validated or certified by qualified teachers or SEN specialists. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content for appropriateness before using it with your child.

If you have concerns about your child's education, development, health or wellbeing, please consult a qualified professional.

3. Who may use the app

SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub is intended for use by adults aged 18 or over, acting as a parent or guardian of a child they are educating at home for any reason. By using the app you confirm that you are 18 or over.

The app is not intended to be used directly by children without parental supervision.

4. Subscription and payment

SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub is available on a paid subscription basis. Subscription tiers, features and pricing are displayed at spektrumhomelearning.com and within the app.

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of purchase
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your payment details
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal
• We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods already paid
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice

5. Licence key access

Upon successful payment you will receive a licence key by email. This key unlocks the paid features of the app on your device. You may use your licence key on up to two devices. You must not share your licence key with others or use it to allow access to people who have not paid for a subscription.

6. AI-generated content

Lessons generated by the AI are produced by the third-party AI generator and may vary in quality, accuracy and appropriateness. By using the AI lesson generator you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated lessons are suggestions, not guaranteed educational programmes
• You are responsible for reviewing content before using it with your child
• AI content may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies or unsuitable material
• We do not guarantee that AI lessons will meet any specific curriculum standard

We continuously improve our AI prompts to produce high-quality, age-appropriate content but cannot guarantee perfect output at all times.

7. Your data and content

All data you enter into the app (child profiles, lessons, journal entries, schedules) is stored on your own device and belongs to you. We do not access, own or use this data. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for any data loss that results from clearing your browser storage or changing devices.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy or reproduce the app or its code
• Share your account access or licence key with others
• Use the app in any way that could harm, harass or endanger a child
• Misuse the AI lesson generator to produce harmful, abusive or inappropriate content

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify or discontinue features of the app at any time. Where we make significant changes to paid features, we will provide reasonable notice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub and its operator shall not be liable for:

• Any loss of data stored in the app
• Educational outcomes or results arising from use of the app
• Any reliance on AI-generated lesson content
• Indirect, incidental or consequential losses of any kind

Our total liability to you in connection with the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the three months preceding any claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will post the current version at spektrumhomelearning.com/terms.
