Privacy Policy

The short version: SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub is designed with privacy at its core. All your child's data — their name, interests, lessons and progress — is stored only on your own device. We do not collect it, store it on our servers, or share it with anyone. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card details.

1. Who we are

SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub is operated by SPEKTRUM HOME LEARNING HUB LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales. Company Registration Number: 17263311. Registered office: as listed on the Companies House register. We provide a home learning planning application for families whose children are educated at home, for any reason including neurodiversity, anxiety, school refusal, mental health challenges or medical conditions.

SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub stores all app data locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage (localStorage). This includes:

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, not stored in any database we control, and not accessible to us in any way. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app will delete it permanently.

4. AI lesson generation

When you generate an AI lesson, the app sends a prompt to a third-party AI service. This prompt includes your child's age range, interests and the subject you have chosen — but no names or identifying information. The AI service processes this request to generate the lesson content.

The AI service's privacy policy governs how they handle API requests. We do not store the prompts or the responses on our servers.

5. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you subscribe to SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub, you enter your payment details directly into Stripe's secure payment page. We never see, receive or store your card number, billing address or any payment information.

Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data. You can read it at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

The only information we receive from Stripe is confirmation that a payment has been made and the licence key associated with your subscription.

6. Children's data

SpeKtrum Home Learning Hub is designed for use by parents and guardians on behalf of children who are home educated for any reason. The app does not directly collect data from children. All data entered about a child (name, age, interests, learning progress) is entered by a parent or guardian and stored only on their own device.

We do not knowingly collect personal information about children, and no child data is ever transmitted to our servers.

Because we do not store your personal data on our servers, most standard data rights (access, deletion, portability) are exercised directly by you — by managing or clearing your own device storage.
